ArticleRanks: Building Links Leads To Targeted Search Traffic

There are a variety of ways to get targeted traffic to your sites but my preferred method (and the method that I highly recommend) is the method where you do not have to pay a fee for every single visitor your website gets (such is the case with Google AdWords.)

What I mean is that I spend my precious time building links that point towards my high quality content websites which include landing pages designed for high conversion rates. These pages usually promote an affiliate program of some type such as the “dayoff” diet product on ClickBank.

I increase my search engine rankings by building these links which in turn leads to highly targeted traffic that can turn into affiliate commissions at a very high rate.

My main way of building links for higher search rankings (for more targeted web traffic which means more ClickBank sales!) is through article marketing distribution services and among my favorite of these services is Article Ranks.

With ArticleRanks each of my articles (which can include three links each) goes out to so many different article sites that I can build up hundreds of links with just one submission.

The main key to getting the most out of a service like this is to make sure that your target pages are focusing on the right keywords and that you are linking back with the right anchor texts.

You will most likely have the most success going after “long tail” keywords instead of going for big competition keywords. In other words, instead of shooting for “diet” or “lose weight” you should go for keywords such as “online diet” and “lose belly fat.”

One cool feature of Article Ranks is that you can embed a YouTube video in each submission. This allows you to get a lot of links back to the YouTube video so that it can rank in the search engines itself and bring more traffic to your landing pages (you should, of course, include a link to your landing page in the YouTube description.)

The link to YouTube does not count as one of the three links, so if you include a YouTube video you are actually able to include a total of four links instead of three.

1. The newsletter you send out should give away some good information to your subscribers. You should try and have it so people will want to open your email to learn about the niche you are in, after all they have chosen to follow you to learn this information.

2. Your newsletter should build relationship and rapport with your subscribers and so they are more likely to buy from you.

3. Next on my list of newsletter tips is having a good subject line this is what grabs the subscriber’s attention and gets them to open it. You could have the best written newsletter in the world but if the subject line isn’t good it’s unlikely to be opened.

4. When it comes to the layout of the email, keep sentences short (don’t go over three and a half inches). When sentences are this length; readers don’t have to pivot their head as much and so can read your email quickly and easily. This way they are more likely to click the link in your email and buy whatever product you are promoting.

5. Different marketers have different opinions on what length email is most effective and what words to put where and if they should be all cap locks etc. There is no such thing as a right or wrong answer; you’ll find out which is most effective for you by testing them on your list.

6. To get started; a good idea is to subscribe to some good marketers in your niche. Any one of their emails that you think could be effective save it to a swipe file so that you can use it later. Another really helpful thing especially for beginners is a lot of people you affiliate will have prewritten tested emails you can use that they have already found to be effective.

7. When it comes to autoresponders (for storing your list and emailing them); I recommend icontact. It’s got a great delivery rate and is good for passing spam filters.
